Welcome to coMesh
CoMesh is an inter-institutional collaboration between The University of California
at San Francisco, Sonoma State University, San Francisco State University, The University
of San Francisco, the Neighborhood Empowerment Network of the City and County of
San Francisco, and IQR consulting with the mutually defined goal of establishing
a shared database to promote, develop, and coordinate university-community partnerships.
CoMesh creates and tracks linkages between faculty, students, and community partners
connected with each or multiple institutions. Faculty will have the capability to
promote their service-learning courses to potential partner organizations, monitor
students’ service hours, and preserve the details of their community relationships
and contributions. Students can search for service-learning projects, internships,
and volunteer opportunities and document their hours. Community partners will be
able to post research, service-learning, internship and volunteer needs, confirm
student service hours, and search for faculty to engage with in partnerships.
Development of CoMesh, has been a collaborative effort by a collection of institutions
whose missions prioritize public service. The database will allow a variety of users
including faculty, staff, students, nonprofits, and government agencies to complete
risk management agreements and create and manage profiles. The profiles will be
viewable and searchable by all constituents using key words as well as specific
